Michael Corleto…. Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist  residing in southern Maine

Michael’s debut album “Sincerely, Your Son” officially released May 1, 2023. Check it out on Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora and many other streaming platforms. You can also purchase here on the website.

Michael started playing guitar at the age of 10. By 11, he was playing with local bands at venues around town. His ability to play blues, jazz, southern rock and country had many musicians asking for him to sit in. At age 13, while attending a Buddy Guy concert, he was asked by Buddy to “come on up”. He jumped at the opportunity and, according to Portland radio station WBLM, “blew the roof off the place”. Today Michael plays regularly throughout southern Maine, the Boston area, and recently played in Nashville. He is always looking to expand on his musical journey. Inspired by Stevie Ray Vaughn, Marcus King, Jeff Beck, Chris Stapleton, Jimi Hendrix, Warren Haynes, his music is complex, but soulful.

In October 2018 Michael joined Mark Dufoe, Kennebunkport singer/guitarist and formed DoubleCross. The duo would play regularly throughout coastal southern Maine playing tunes inspired by Bob Dylan to Bob Marley and everything in between.

On January 1, 2020 Michael introduced his first band, Great Aunt Alice. The Great Aunt Alice Band is a three piece jam band that hits the ears of music lovers in all genres. This band is over a year in the making, adding the perfect compliment of musicians to join Michael, playing music similar to Gov't Mule, Marcus King Band, Allman Brothers and many more.

Along with his friend Marc Kaplan, Michael formed Wake Up Mama: An Allman Brothers Tribute in spring 2021. This band brings together the best Portland area pros, along with the members of Great Aunt Alice Band. Originally formed as a one time show for a fund raiser, the band was simply too good to play just one show, and will be playing throughout the Portland Maine area as their schedules allow.

Michael recently finished a semester at Berklee College of Music in December of 2022. He has since then departed college and has recorded an album entitled, "Sincerely, Your Son". Recorded with Jonathon Wyman of ThisSoundsGood at The Halo Studios, Westbrook ME. The album features Andrew Martelle of the Mallett Brothers Band on fiddle, Adam "Ditch" Kurtz on pedal steel, Barrett Goeman on drums, David Emma on bass, Dane Farnsworth on keys, and Michael as lead vocals and guitar. The tune, "How We Roll" features Luke and Will Mallett of the Mallett Brothers Band on backup vocals.

In the summer of 2022, Michael wrote a song titled, "Sincerely, Your Son". A story many experience during the transitional years after their high school graduation. The song describes the feelings of a son expressing the growing pains of moving from home to his mom through a letter. This is the track that kicked off an album involving true stories and raw lyrics from Michael about his real day-to-day life growing up in a small town. "Sincerely, Your Son" has variations revolving around contemporary country, alternative, rock, and some notes of the classic country sound. Overall, it's an album that can appeal to large mass audiences of all musical tastes. Keep a lookout as Michael will be releasing this music on all streaming platforms, creating CDs and Vinyl, and selling his merchandise anywhere he can! A record release party will be hosted on May 13th at Vinegar Hill in Arundel.. Tickets currently available and going fast!
