BIO

Michael Corleto is a singer/songwriter/guitarist born and raised in southern coastal Maine.
Playing guitar since age 10, michael found himself sitting in with local musicians playing the hotels, bars and restaurants that run up and down the coast.
He starting singing at age 14, and by age 15 he was playing solo gigs, duos with local artists and performing in bands throughout the area.

Born to parents that loved music, Michael would listen to everything from The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Allman Brothers, to Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and more.

His early love was the blues. Stevie Ray Vaughan, BB King, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Buddy Guy (who michael got to join on stage during a Portland Maine show when michael
was only 13).

After high school, michael attended Berklee College of Music where he studied music theory and live performance. Although his time there was brief, he met several friends who he is still close to, worked with and will continue to work with into the future.

Upon his departure from berklee, michael went straight into the recording studio and  created “Sincerely, Your Son”. A collection of tunes written from a personal perspective on growing up in southern Maine.
After a spring and summer playing his tunes both solo and with his full band, he went right back into the studio and recorded his second album “Good Times n Willow Trees”.
This is more of Michael’s preferred style, a 70’s outlaw country sound and subject matter. Although both albums feature Michael’s guitar skill and unique vocal style, this album was more of his personality coming out.

Next for michael will be a collection of Bluegrass tracks that he worked on while spending the 2024 winter away from Maine, as he went as south as he could, landing in Key West for several months of playing, writing, and working on his tan.

The summer and early fall 2024 have michael back in maine playing a mix of hotels, bars and music venues nightly. And, he will have the opportunity to open for country superstar Rodney Atkins in Portland, Maine late June.

Late fall will be a trip to Nashville for several songwriter rounds and some time to learn the area as he prepares a full time move to Nashville in spring 2025.

Lots more to come. Stay tuned….
